Tulane University School of Medicine, Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Palliative Care physician to join our rapidly growing academic Palliative Medicine & Supportive Care program. The physician will provide high quality, compassionate patient care on our inpatient palliative medicine consult service and in the outpatient setting. The physician will also supervise and teach fellows, residents, and medical students and work within an interdisciplinary team. The Department is heavily involved in Diversity/Equity/Inclusion Councils and Committees, Quality huddles, Cancer Center expansion, and Wellness activities including Schwartz Rounds and Death Café. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.Eligible for medical license in the state of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required.MD/DO degree from an accredited program.Ability to work as part of a professional team and to collaborate effectively with individuals within the University as well as with hospital employees.Skill in the understanding of, and sensitivity to, persons of all social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
