Salary Range: $45.4100 - $69.8500 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse I for Hospice- role provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act to assigned patients within Home Health. The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care. This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned. Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed, and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Home Health/Hospice: Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher education (BSN), are preferred. Requires at a minimum of One (1) year of acute clinical nursing experience, Public Health, Home Health care, or Hospice experience preferred. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Licenses

All Clinical Nurse I's must have current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Certifications

All Clinical Nurse I's are required to have current BLS certification prior to clinical rotation.
