Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood, but also to help them better understand others. Leads, guides and directs the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents. The Speech-Language Pathologist must possess: • valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state. • Meet educational requirements of his/her licensure requirements. • Valid driver's license • Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

1 year of SLP experience - REQUIRED LTC or Rehab experience - Required MO State License - Required CCC certified SLP - Required Will accept one Reference at time of submission Must be submitted at the posted rate*** if requested rate is higher candidate will be redirected STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS Missouri Compact Allowed ABOUT THE FACILITY 8 hrs of NBO

Advanced Care of St. Joseph is a busy 180 bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with beautiful rehabilitation space including a spacious gym, functional ADL spaces and proximity to our skilled wing as well as an outdoor patio for therapy use. We have a wonderful and supportive nursing team who works closely with therapy and doctors to obtain services for our patients, and a fun, high energy in-house therapy team. We see a wide variety of cognitive, dietary and neurological diagnoses and both short term rehab patients as well as long term care residents. We are part of a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve. Locally, we hope to build our long term care programming as well as continue providing fun, effective therapy for our short term rehab patients so they can return to home
