Job Description
The APU Cell Leader is responsible for supporting cell team members in the startup, operation and TPM maintenance of molding and assembly equipment and the packaging of packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Schedule Cell team members to molding and assembly machines based on daily production needs; schedule/organize breaks and replacements where needed.Support APU Shift Leader in organizing and conducting meetings for APU cell employees to facilitate communication, inform cell group of progresses and priorities and resolve issuesEnsure machines are running to standard and ensuring product quality meets specification at each startup and escalate to Shift leader and Maintenance as needed.Performs duties of an operator level 1 and 2 positions and supports operators within their work cellIs considered the expert in their assigned work cell and will train on all areas and responsibilities within their work cellReview production results and update required boards for gap analysisPerform handover with previous and next shift Cell Lead.Retrieve required documentation out of TMS as needed to assist with quality related decisions.Assure that Cell's daily production and scrap data is entered into BMSPerform audits of adherence to standards as required.Coordinate supplies provided (incl. consumables) and assist with obtaining components from warehouse, scan WIP components with RF gun as needed.Responsible for Kanban system associate with work cell to ensure materials are properly staged.Ensure compliance with clean workspaces, 55 Standards and GMP within shift and areaTroubleshoot small and mid-size problems in processes, escalate to Maintenance as neededSupport cell team in completion of LRPs, including opening and closing of lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake free.Clean injection molds as required per work instructionsPerform assembly start up complex batches/shots for product change/new version (same reference)Complete daily cycle checklistPromote Lean initiatives and participate in lean projectsProvide suggestions and take active role in Process Improvements to eliminate non-value-added activityPromote, support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work proceduresOther duties as assignedPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience (required)Able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.Stand and walk 90% of shiftAbility to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, grab and climbSatisfy vision testing requirements of the jobPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Basic math skillsPC skillsExtensive knowledge of equipment in assigned work cellDemonstrate leadership skills that align with the Nemera leadership modelWORK ENVIRONMENT:
Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels.
