POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Quality Assistant Manager with experience in auditing and IATF knowledge to join our automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of hourly associates, conducting internal audits, and ensuring the organization remains compliant with IATF 16949 standards.
CORE FUNCTIONSSupervise and lead a team of hourly associates in the Quality Department.Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Perform internal audits to ensure processes meet company and regulatory standards.Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and other relevant quality standards.Assist in preparing for and facilitating external audits.Document findings from audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Have understanding of calibration and measurement systemsAssist with supplier management program including verifying parts as needed.Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement.Support continuous improvement projects that enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality processes and audits.Maintain document control to company standardsReport on audit findings, quality metrics, and corrective actions as needed.Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.Assist with root cause analysis and the development of improvement plans.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & R EQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.2-4 years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive manufacturing industry.Proven audit experience, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 standards.Leadership experience in managing people preferredStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.Willingness and ability to get required certificatesCertified Internal Auditor for IATF 1694 a plusLean Six Sigma Green or Yellow certification a plusCore tool certifications such as PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA a plusSkills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Skilled in Microsoft Office.Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.Knowledge of Auto CAD.Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.Ability to problem solve through 8D approach.Travel
Occasional travel may be required, domestic and international.
