Job Description:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for managing the nutritional care of both inpatients and outpatients. Key duties include conducting nutritional assessments, overseeing physician-ordered therapeutic diets and supplements, and providing nutrition education to patients and their families. The Clinical Dietitian also participates in patient rounds and ensures compliance with clinical nutrition policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assess patients' nutritional needs and medical histories.Develop and implement personalized diet plans.Educate patients on nutrition and dietary choices for health management.Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.Monitor patient progress and adjust dietary plans as necessary.Qualification/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required.Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred.Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a clinical dietitian in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.Experience in critical care nutrition, renal nutrition, or pediatric nutrition is a plus.Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Georgia or eligibility to obtain state licensure.Certification in specialized areas of nutrition (e.g., Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) preferred.
