University Health Physicians (UHP) is the physician group practice for the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) in conjunction with its major teaching facility. UMKC supports several residencies and many of our physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO. known as “Kansas City’s Essential Hospital,” it is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO. Job Description

This physician will have an active clinical practice in an academic setting. Position requires MD/DO/MBBS degree, entry-level and mid-career applicants considered; must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Dermatology.

Position is primarily ambulatory practice, no night call, no weekends

Academic and private tracks available

Clinical scribes

12-15 patients per clinic session

Opportunity to provide clinical teaching for medical students and primary care residents (Internal Medicine and Family Medicine)

Unique opportunity to be involved with a new dermatology residency program with anticipated start date of July 2026

Compensation:

Highly competitive guaranteed base salary plus production bonus

The Department of Dermatology at University Health is Kansas City’s only complete academic dermatology department featuring expertise in pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, Mohs surgery, complex medical dermatology, skin of color dermatology, and cosmetics.
