Sigma Healthcare staffing is looking for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for our client hospital in Morton.
Shift :
12 hour day shiftsSummary:
We are looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist. A candidate with inpatient/outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation experience is ideal.
Position Expectations:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessmentsCommunicate findings to referring physicians that warrant discussion or medical follow-upDevelop an individual treatment plan with collaborative patient goalsWork within a protocol to order appropriate medications and therapiesDemonstrate effective time management with multiple pending tasksEstablish medical necessity for a skilled level of care and servicesEnsure patient safetyProvide interactive education and skills training sessions for patients and their familiesEngage family members whenever possibleMonitor, reassess, and modify treatment to support patient progressParticipate in multidisciplinary team conferences, staff meetings, and in-services as appropriateCollect and review patient and program outcomesDevelop home management plans for patients with chronic diseaseMaintain communication with referring providersInitiate departmental emergency procedures as necessaryRecommend pulmonary rehabilitation to potential patientsWork with Pulmonary Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist to provide Respiratory Therapy supervision during pulmonary rehabilitation sessionsProvide safe and competent respiratory interventions including mechanical ventilationProvide effective and emergent therapy for patients across all demographics in the emergency room (neonatal, pediatric, and geriatric)10 hour day shifts with every other weekend availabilityRequirements:
Graduate of an accredited RT programCurrent RT license, in WA State.Minimum of one (1) year RT experience in a Hospital settingFederal and State required credentials are current and on fileCognitive skills as related to the positionRRT with BLS requried.
