Responsibilities

In addition to advanced and innovative patient care offered at USA Health University hospitals and clinics, USA's medical education programs provide first-class training experiences for the next generation of physicians and scientists. Our health system has a catchment area of 1 million people and offers a robust hepatology and gastroenterology practice with dedicated hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and 24/7 interventional radiology.

The Department of Surgery at the University of South Alabama is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible General Surgeon with interest in minimally invasive surgery at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to join the faculty as a General Surgeon in Mobile, Alabama. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in academic surgery in the areas of patient care, medical education, and research. Applicants should be board eligible or boarded by the American Board of Surgery. Teaching general surgery residents, medical students, and advanced practitioners is an integral part of the program.
