Who We Are Looking For:

The Manager, Regulatory/Quality Control/Quality Assurance will play a critical role in ensuring that all Thrive Causemetics products comply with local, national, and international regulatory standards. This position involves a blend of regulatory knowledge and quality control expertise to maintain the highest standards of product safety, efficacy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the beauty industry's regulatory environment, including MOCRA and experience in QC/QA processes, and a keen eye for detail.

What You Will Be Doing:Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant laws and regulations across different markets as well as brand specified black list requirementsStay up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines in the beauty industry.Oversee vendor manual and onboarding new CM's Product Certification: Manage the process of obtaining and renewing necessary product certifications, including organic, cruelty-free, and vegan certifications.Manage OTC testing, best practices, and FDA compliance Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control protocols throughout the product development and manufacturing process.Ensure products meet internal and external quality standards for new product launches and ongoing reorders.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all regulatory and quality control activities, including audits, clinical testing results, COAs, PIF's, MOCRA regulations and compliance reports.Supplier and Manufacturer Liaison: Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure raw materials and finished products comply with regulatory and quality standards. Includes reviewing bulk standards and finished goods from product launches and in-line products.Risk Management: Identify and assess regulatory and quality risks associated with products in development and ongoing production. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Legal teams to ensure regulatory considerations are integrated into product development and marketing strategies.Craft compliant product copy and curate creative solutions for marketing language and claims.Training and Education: Provide regulatory and quality control guidance and training to internal teams to foster a compliance culture within the organization.What Will Make You Stand Out:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related fieldA minimum of 5 years experience in a regulatory and quality control role, specifically in the beauty, cosmetics, or skincare industryStrong understanding of global cosmetic regulations and quality standards, including FDA, EU Cosmetic Regulation, and ISO standards.Proven track record of managing product certifications and compliance with regulatory bodies.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with regulatory databases and software.

The base pay range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
