GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Development Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of our fundraising program. The Development Manager cultivates strong community relationships while meeting annual fundraising goals and building long-term growth strategies across a diversified supporter base of individual donors, businesses, and foundations. This position has the key accountability areas of donor cultivation, major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, special events, and faith relations.
CORE DUTIES:Support the Bend Redmond Habitat for Humanity mission of building homes, communities, and hope.Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and current donors, including individual donors, major gifts, and planned giving.Conduct and/or coordinate face-to-face visits and other activities with donors.Develop and implement an annual giving program, including but not limited to direct mail, matching gifts, monthly giving, and online giving.Routinely engage board members, the CEO, and current donors in peer-prospect identification and visits.Manage the effective use of data related to donors, donor recognition, and fundraising activities.Monitor and report donations and donor trends monthly, oversee donor acknowledgment and appreciation efforts.Foster a culture of gratitude that ensures supporters at all levels of giving are cultivated and respected.Creatively develop and lead signature fundraising events, including in-person and virtual options.Robustly network with key stakeholders, partners, and community organizations, maintaining and developing relationships.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:A commitment to advancing the critical call for affordable homeownership and an understanding of how to utilize an equity filter when creating fund development campaigns.A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.CFRE preferred.Proven track record of developing and growing sources of revenue.Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and ability to see the big picture while implementing actionable plans in a timely manner.Strong program management skills with an understanding of how to use data to build healthy and thriving donor pipelines across various fundraising programs.Commitment to fostering a community-centric approach to storytelling and fundraising that respectfully translates Habitat's impact while inspiring donors to engage as equal partners in the work.Excellent public speaking and writing skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to bring structure to systems and processes.Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, Bloomerang, MailChimp, Canva, and other platforms.Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
