Role Purpose

The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications. This entry level position learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records.

ResponsibilitiesMaintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance.Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance.Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
