Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-A)
Plan and provide direct therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with student's ability to derive full benefit from educational program. Provide therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:Bachelor's DegreeValid Texas License as a speech language pathology assistant granted by the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.Special Knowledge/Skills:
Skill in the use of tests and measurements for assessing speech-language disordersKnowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech, language, and hearing disordersExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to multiple work locations as assignedExperience:
One year of supervised clinical speech language pathology assistant experience

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
