Adecco has partnered with our non-manufacturing client in Detroit who is hiring a Controller. This will be a hybrid role, three days onsite.
The Controller leads accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role supports executive decision-making through the preparation and analysis of financial data and manages the accounting team’s day-to-day activities.
Core Responsibilities (not limited to):
Uphold core company values in all financial operations.
Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and cost accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Safeguard company assets and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with audits.
Provide timely financial reports to senior leadership, offering insights into budget and financial trends.
Collaborate with the CFO on financial planning, strategy, and operational improvements.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
Support the company’s growth through process improvements and technology optimization.
Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the audit process.
Perform other tasks as needed to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
3-5 years of current Controller Experience; 10+ years of total accounting experience
Service Industry, not manufacturing experience
Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
