As a Controller, you will serve as a financial expert for our clients. This involves handling a variety of general to complex accounting functions, providing analytical support, and supervising staff.
Your daily duties and responsibilities in the Controller role will generally include:
Managing accounting and financial reportingManaging and reviewing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processesAssisting in the development of financial statements and reportsEstablishing and coordinating all accounting procedures for the business unitInvestigating significant trends/variances in financial dataManaging AP, AR, Payroll, Tax functions as well as Cost and Inventory AccountingAssisting in the formulation of the budget and preparing the monthly budget variance analysesQualifications include:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 7 years' experience in corporate accounting or public accountingExperience with multiple ERP systems preferredAdvanced Excel proficiency requiredStrong communication skills and ability to work with individuals of varying levels of responsibilityCommitment to remaining on and successfully completing projects as assignedWHY VACO?

We have direct relationships with hiring managers, so you can expect that we proactively market your skill-set to prospective clients that we mutually agree make sense-
promoting your strength s to our client relationships.
Our projects typically last between 3 months and 6 months, but often go longer than expected. As the project has a clear end date, Vaco will work to secure a reference from the client, work with the Consultant to build a Case Study, and begin marketing for our next engagement.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
