Job Description:
Any travelernot currently in possession of an active State of HI license must apply uponacceptance of offer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start ofassignment.
General job duties. Typesof procedures required.
The therapist evaluates, develops acare plan and independently treats patients referred to the outpatient speechtherapy clinic. Patient care is biased towards Outpatientclinical care. Depending on census coverage is provided for Acute careand completions of modified barium swallow studies as per therapists skillset.
Equipment utilized in theunit/dept.
ReDoc is utilized for computerizeddocumentation and reference to Meditech computerized documentation is availablefor electronic health records.
Outcomes assessments specific toreferring diagnoses
Required skills andminimum years of experience.
Minimum 2 years experiencepreferably with outpatient and Rehab hospital experience
Preferredskills:
Acute care experience; independent and proficient in completionof Modified Barium Swallow Studies in radiology without supervision by aradiologist.
Specific licensures andcertifications/registrations required.
BLS, HI rehab licensure inappropriate discipline
Shift or schedulerequirements.
Generally set schedule 3 days/week,M-F but may include an occasional weekend or holiday dependent on staffing.
Floating to otherunits/departments.
Possible floating to IP rehabdepartment depending on census at the time and staffing.
Dress Code:
Business casual per HBMC dress codefor patient care delivered in the outpatient clinic. Scrubs permissibleif floating to IP Rehab.
Training in EMR documentationprovided and orientation to rehab area/expectations
Position Urgency: Normal
Shifts: Generally set schedule 3 days/wk but likely to include 1 weekend day
State License Details: Upon Acceptance
Minimum Years of Experience: 2
Specialty Type: ********All Travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to start of assignment. This appointment will be scheduled at Hilo Employee Health and traveler must report. Please plan on having your traveler in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start so they can report to Employee Health Friday morning********
