Primary ResponsibilitiesProvides appropriate medical nutrition therapy goals for patients throughout the organization. Educates patients regarding their diet/nutrition plan for discharge when needed. Serves as a nutrition resource to physicians, nursing staff, and other health care team members. Participates in patient care rounds.Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/PreferredBachelorsNutrition or DieteticsRequiredMasters Related Field PreferredAdditional Qualifications:Completion of a supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and DieteticsOne year acute care hospital/critical care experience preferredLicensing RequirementsRegistered Dietitian or eligible for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.If registration eligible, must past the dietetic registration exam within 6 months of hire. Licensure state ofPennsylvania within 6 months of hire.
