Position Overview:
The Clinical Dietitian interprets the discipline of food and nutrition into the provision of a service designed to improve or maintain the nutritional/health status of both inpatients and outpatients.

:
EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: B.S. degree from an accredited college or university in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field. or equivalent education/experience
OR Master's: Master’s Degree program meeting the American Dietetic Association’s requirements for Dietitian Registration required or completion of a Dietetic internship or equivalent education/experience
Other: Completion of a didactic and clinical program in dietetics approved or accredited by the American Dietetic Association.
Other: Completion of the dietetic registration exam within 6 mos. of hire
Other: Maintenance of continued education meets requirements of Commission on Dietetic Registration and supports professional development in area assigned (disease/conditions/ages of patients).
OR Master's: MS Nutrition or MPH or equivalent education/experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
RD-Registered Dietitian Upon Hire
CNSD-Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian
CDE-Certified Diabetes Educator
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
Hospital work experience preferred.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of performance improvement and regulatory agency requirements preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of Clinical Nutrition Services, Medical Nutrition Therapies, Food Production Standards, and a working knowledge of Joint Commission and Health and Safety Codes are preferred.
Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and staff.
Organizational skills and ability to accomplish work without direct daily supervision.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work productively with people who have both similar and different backgrounds

Pay Range is $45.92 to $61.68 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
