Controller - Construction and CPA
Our growing niche construction client has an immediate need for a Controller with construction or Real Estate development experience and an active CPA.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day corporate accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.Support development team with processing development draw vendor payments and reconciling the draws to project financial statements.Coordinate and review annual partnership and individual tax filings with external tax advisors.Prepare and submit annual 1099s and business license filings.Collaborate with auditors; field requests, review and distribute audit reports and financials.Process payroll, track employee PTO and benefits; coordinate annual benefits renewals.Collaborate with operations on the review of monthly financial statements, funding requests, cash projections, and annual budgets.Oversee real estate and personal property tax payments and assessment appeals.Update corporate cash projections.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in AccountingCPA certification required.Minimum of 5 years of real estate accounting experience, including real estate development and/or construction accounting experience.Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standardsProficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, investors, clients, and external partners.To apply, send your resume to William Franks at [email protected]
