General ResponsibilitiesAdjunct faculty is hired in a part-time capacity on a semester by semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the Physical Therapist Assistant program. The goal of the lab adjunct is to provide clinical instruction in physical therapist assistant laboratory courses through demonstration and laboratory/clinical exercises. Additional responsibilities will include preparing relevant teaching and lab assessment materials, engaging and advising students, timely grading course work, submitting required reports, participating in college and community responsibilities. Applicants must be willing to teach day labs; (9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm). Adjunct faculty will engage in general college responsibilities within and outside the division.

Other Knowledge RequiredCandidates must have the minimum of an associates degree for the physical therapist assistant; however, a Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Health, Education, or related field is preferredThree years full-time experience as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.Must provide current, unencumbered licensed in Maryland as Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist AssistantUse of independent judgment, initiative, and ability to manage timeThe ideal candidate will have community college teaching experience, experience incorporating technology effectively into classroom and/or laboratory instruction, and ability to coordinate with and mentor adjunct facultyMember of the American Physical Therapy Association, preferred
