Technical Accounting Manager

Vaco Boston has partnered with our client who is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external valuation specialists to analyze complex transactions.
· Review joint venture accounting and consolidations for certain community investments.
· Monitor major corporate events, including M&A, dispositions, and financial transactions, ensuring accurate accounting treatment.
· Oversee technical accounting for M&A activities, including purchase accounting and integration.
· Analyze and implement new accounting guidance from regulatory bodies.
· Conduct technical accounting research and prepare detailed analyses.
· Serve as a US GAAP resource, preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos and analyses.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors on accounting and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or better in Accounting
· CPA required
· 7+ years of progressive experience, ideally experience related to public accounting or a publicly traded company.
· In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX.
· Experience in technical accounting research and M&A accounting.
