West Georgia health system is seeking a board certified/board eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join their hospital employed Surgical Group consisting of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesWill provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at two nearby acute care hospitals (one is 181 bed and growing and the other is 53 beds and growing.)Receives ED calls, transfers, and referrals from the heath system's critical access hospitals as wellMonday - Friday; 7a - 5pNo weeknight call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with your general surgery physician colleagues.
Job Eligibility Requirements
Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicineUnrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtainResidency trained in General Surgery; Board certified or eligible in General SurgeryProven competency
