Program Manager - Residential SUPERVISOR:

Director of Residential Services HOURS PER WEEK:

40 Hours QUALIFICATIONS:

BA or BS in the field of Human Services preferred; two

years of college required; one year experience as a residential counselor required. Experience may be substituted for degree requirements if there has been past supervisory experience; supervisor recommendation required. Proficiency in TCI.

FUNCTIONS:

To oversee all the unit programming, supervise child care staff assigned to that unit. Provide TCI Training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruits, supervises, trains and evaluates residential counselors Interviews for new hires for assigned unit. Facilitates department orientation. Provides informal supervision through daily role modeling, feedback, and on the job training for unit residential counselors Provides formal supervision by meeting with residential counselors on a regular basis. Formal supervisions include written documentation. Creates formal agenda, and then facilitates, staff meetings. Provides annual written performance evaluations for inclusion in employees' personnel files. Ensures effective unit programming

Creates and distributes weekly unit work schedules, insuring adequate and effective staffing is provided for unit programming and for all assigned meetings. Ensures implementation of program policies and procedures. Ensures therapeutic, trauma-responsive, age-appropriate routines, including chores and privileges. Creates weekly outing plan. Records life skills training in each resident's Connections notes. Ensures that the living unit is a clean, safe and therapeutic environment. Tracks unit inventories, submits purchase orders and maintenance requests as needed. Submits monthly meal and snack reimbursement reports. Distributes weekly allowance and monthly treat money. Maintains an effective communication system, both written and verbal, on the unit and throughout the agency. Ensures that unit logs are accurate and thorough. Along with the Residential Services Administration, participates in making recommendations for and evaluating the RS Program on an on-going basis. Provides for effective treatment planning

In conjunction with other departments within the agency, develops ICMPs and other individual treatment plans for each unit resident. Ensures written unit reports are prepared and submitted to residents' treatment meetings. Other responsibilities

Reviews, approves and submits biweekly timesheets for unit staff Maintains TCI trainer status. Attends yearly updates. Provides TCI training formally and informally. Any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Residential Services.
