Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join its interdisciplinary clinic in Oklahoma City, OK. Come join our team as we provide a comprehensive and collaborative approach in helping children with autism and other disabilities. Our clinic includes psychology, ABA, OT, and Speech services. At Peak, we strive to help children and families reach their highest potential.
This position primarily consists of the following:
The Position:
Evaluate and treat a wide-range of speech and language disorders Create comprehensive treatment plans Serve as a team member for multidisciplinary evaluations Diagnose and treat disorders related to feeding/oral and motor/swallowing issues Provide family education and training to assist in transfer of skills Supervise SLP assistants as needed Work in an outpatient, private-practice setting Maintain client records Maintain confidentiality of patient records in according with HIPAA and State and Federal Regulations Qualifications:
2+ years' experience working with children and families Experience working with augmentative and alternative communication Prior experience working with children with autism or other intellectual disabilities Possess a degree that includes an internship from an accredited Master's program in Speech-Language Pathology, or as required by applicable law and/or regulation Maintain an Oklahoma State License Training and experience in areas of: feeding/oral and motor/swallowing Meets education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP, granted by ASHA. Be familiar with PECS, AAC, ASL Excellent communication skills with other providers and families Must have great problem-solving skills Available full-time - 40 hours/week Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. Proficient in using technology (Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Office and familiar with EMR systems) Passionate about helping children and their families Benefits:
