My client, which started as a small, family-run business has grown into a larger, leading organization in the manufacturing space, touching industries in medical, renewable energy, aerospace, and more. As they continue to invest in acquisitions and cutting-edge technology, they are seeking a high-caliber Controller to join their dynamic team.

Reporting into the CEO & managing a team of 3+ individuals, this role is pivotal in driving the company's growth. The Controller will be focused on building out and streamlining the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for their 4 divisions. The Controller will also get involved in other financial aspects of the organization, including investor relations, and M&A activity.

Job Description

Controller Responsibilities:

Leads the period-end accounting close process for one the business segments and other similar services, including additional close processes at quarter-end and year-endSupervises and provides leadership to 3 direct reportsOversees each period-end accounting close from end to end while communicating with the other Segment Controllers and numerous other team members to make sure all major elements of the accounting close are coordinated and executed in sequenceManages the accounting for segment inventoryWorks closely with other functions, including others within accounting, to ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct fiscal period and in accordance with US GAAP accounting standardsResponsible for creating and communicating monthly operating results for the business segmentCollaborates with functional leaders to help create the annual budget for the business segment and other similar services, and helps support the quarterly forecasting processAnalyzes the performance of specific locations and the total segment to support business decision-making, maximizing profit, and driving operational efficienciesDevises and implements process improvements to increase efficiencies and enhance internal controls around processes within the functionEnsures the proper consolidation and elimination entries are recordedEnsures acquisitions are properly accounted for and consolidatedPlays a key role in the annual external audit, quarterly reviews, and controls testing by preparing audit requests and working with the auditors to explain and document various transactions, business processes, and internal controlsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in AccountingManufacturing ExperienceCost/Inventory ExperienceDemonstrate excellent leadership and motivational skills to subordinatesExperience with NetSuite a plusThe ability and desire to be a team player is crucialAbility to grasp new concepts quicklyHighly proficient in Microsoft ExcelWhat's on Offer
