Job DescriptionGateway Search currently assisting a well-established, family-owned company in the manufacturing industry that is looking to add a
Controller
to their team. This this role is open due to retirement and offers a 3-5 year track to CFO!
The Controller provides leadership and daily oversight to the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit and Collections, Order entry/Customer Service, and General Ledger functions with primary emphasis on team development and mentoring, accuracy and timeliness, and continuous process improvement while maintaining internal controls.
Responsibilities include assisting in the compilation of monthly financial results for all companies, and ensuring the accurate recording of revenue, product costs and operation expenses, and the overall accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. This position is also responsible for assisting with maintaining and managing daily bank relations and activity.
Manage senior accountant and five staff accounting/finance positions.Working knowledge of all functional accounting/finance positions.Daily bank transactions including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and reconciliation.Daily A/P review and cash disbursements.Monthly review of all balance sheet reconciliations for all Companies.Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and other management reporting.Assist in annual budget preparation process.ERP system maintenance as needed.Liaison with all operations departments.Assistance with various projects and other duties as needed.Comply with all State and Federal regulations and all Company policies and procedures.Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field REQUIREDAt least 5-7 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industrySupervisory experienceCPA or CMA preferred (but not required)Strong ERP system knowledge and leadership skills
