Speech-Language Pathologist
Assistant
to work at a school district in
Hemet, CA.
This is a registry position with our company.
Pay Rate:
$30 / hour*W2
Shift Details:
7:30-4:00 pm30 min lunchSite Support / Travel:
These positions require the contracted employee to drive site-to-site daily supporting student services. The District will not provide mileage reimbursement to the contracted employee. Our school sites are located in the
Hemet, San Jacinto, Idyllwild, and Anza areas. Job Summary:
Duties:
Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in conducting assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify communication disorders in clients.Implement therapeutic interventions and treatment plans under the supervision and guidance of the SLP.Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions to clients, incorporating various techniques and exercises to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.Document and maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, goals, and treatment sessions.Collaborate with the SLP to develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on client needs and progress.Monitor and track client progress through objective measures such as standardized testing, observations, and data collection.Support clients in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and technologies, as needed.Assist in the preparation and implementation of therapy materials, equipment, and resources.Provide guidance and instruction to family members, caregivers, and teachers on strategies to support clients' communication goals and objectives.Stay up-to-date with current research, advancements, and best practices in speech and language pathology.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Speech Language Pathologist AssistantAbility to build rapport with clientsStrong leadership qualitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)Must have up to date credentials in the state of
