• Duties include operation of X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, preparing patient rooms and the equipment.
• Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
• Exams include all surgery, radiology cases and regular diagnostic cases.

• Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiology Technology
Licensure/Certification:

Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
•
Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License
• Current BLS certification

Minimum of 2 years' experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological examsExperience using C-Arms in an Operating roomMust possess independent decision-making skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple projectsExcellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and familiesMust be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional wayAbility to utilize the Electronic Health Record for patient documentationPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center. Exams.Operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies and medications.Provides patient services using imaging modalities.Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.Exams include all surgery radiology cases and regular diagnostic cases.Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examinationPractices medical and surgical aseptic proceduresInvestigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with ManagerTakes emergency call as assigned
