The
Manager, Investment & Valuation
will be a key member of our Investment & Valuation (I&V) team, bringing renewable energy projects forward for investment decisions at RWE Clean Energy LLC. Our I&V team enables value-added growth by providing analysis and critical advice to our colleagues in the business while ensuring strong governance
around investment decisions. The Investments Manager will work closely both with our I&V team and with colleagues from the whole Finance community and broader Renewables business. We value diversity, good relationships, personal growth, inclusive debate and individual empowerment.Responsibilities:Support the strong growth ambitions of our Renewables business (solar, onshore wind, energy storage, and hydrogen) in the AmericasLead investment decision processes, derive investment recommendations and prepare and deliver presentations for RWE Clean Energy Leadership Team and RWE Board considerationPrepare or lead the preparation of financial valuationsEvaluate assumptions, risks & opportunities to investment decisions; identify key value drivers; challenge and discuss with relevant subject-matter expertsManage stakeholders within the investment decision process, including top managementCoordinate and perform diligence on investment opportunitiesIdentify and implement improvements to the investment process and valuation approach, including the use of digital solutionsSupport other members of the I&V team and contribute to our strong team spirit
Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance roles requiredProficiency in valuation methodologies (especially DCF) and in financial modeling (Excel) requiredStrong communication and presentation skills; comfortable with senior management interaction requiredDemonstrated skills in project and stakeholder management requiredRenewable energy or M&A experience, including due diligence experience, strongly preferredExperience working in complex organizations, where cross-functional participation and decision processes apply, preferredBachelor of Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or similar university degree requiredEither MBA or advanced degree with a focus on Finance or Economics or a Finance-related professional designation (e.g. CFA, CPA, PMI), strongly preferred
Pay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $120,300 - $180,400 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
