Valet Supervisor

SUMMARY
The Valet Supervisor assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Valet including daily staffing, wait times, Porte management, job and assignments to ensure quality and guest satisfaction. Valet Supervisors will also assist when needed in scheduling, training, and guest service. The Valet Supervisor will be responsible for upholding Grand Sierra Resort's high service standard through the training and professional development of all Team Members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Oversight of the Porte and Valet operations to ensure and provide exceptional guest service and limiting wait times for our guests.
• Supervisors may pick or park a car but this is not a primary duty and should only be one when wait times exceed 20 minutes or the line to park is significantly out of the Porte (more than halfway down the ramp)
• Pre-shift teams daily on upcoming events, vital information and any other important details for the team to work effectively
• Must be visible in the Porte and able to assist and defuse any guest escalations
• Ensure guests are receiving timely service via managing of staff into proper roles and rotating them as needed to ensure the operations run smoothly and there are no barriers to providing excellent guest service
• Assists the Front Services Manager and Lead Supervisor with scheduling and training
• Ensure the drive lanes and crosswalks are clean of debris or unauthorized vehicles.
• Reporting any fixes, areas of attention, outages, breakages, and/or less than optimal working conditions to the appropriate parties to ensure they are fixed in a timely manner; follow up as necessary
• Ensure CVPS car tracking system is kept up to date and cars are being entered properly
• Ensure Team Members go on appropriate breaks and early outs are managed to maintain sufficient staff to handle upcoming business
• Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, services, special events, etc.
• Monitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, buses and rideshare.
• Document and report all vehicle incidents such as damages, accidents, theft, missing articles etc.
• Report any accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the Lead Supervisor and/or Front Services Manager immediately.
• Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, Porte and in the key booth.
• Act in capacity of Valet Runner at any time, only as needed.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
• Obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card .
• Must produce driving record from DMV bi-annually to present to management to remain in position .
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• 1 to 2 years p revious valet experience preferred.
• 3 years or more clean driving record (as confirmed by DMV report).
• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Must be able to maintain the physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment as well as deal effectively with customers, management, team members and others.
• Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino ; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull.
• Team Member must consistently be able to lift and/or move /push up to 65 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to run back and forth to the Valet lot consistently during your shift in all weather conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work performed indoors and outdoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employee may be exposed to odor and secondhand smoke. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
