Charge Nurse (Med/Surg, Telemetry & Bariatrics)
cares for a wide variety of patients with complex medical conditions requiring exceptional care. This unit is a 28 bed Surgical Telemetry Unit and is a fast paced, post-surgical floor, where we specialize in the care of patients following surgery. Our primary patient mix includes General, Bariatric and Neurosurgical services. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, and we accomplish this by combining proven nursing techniques, extensive post-surgical knowledge and top tier education and teamwork. RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates the nursing services of a single department by leading, directing and collaborating within the interdisciplinary care team.Serves as department leader alongside and in absences of Nurse Manager.Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing careEvaluating responses to interventionsPerforming additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.Norman Regional provides generous benefits for their employees, who they call healers.
