We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. This is a pivotal role that demands a results-driven professional who is ready to take on the challenge of managing our company's financial health. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of our company, including budgeting and financial reporting. If you have a strong background in finance, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for making a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

As a Controller, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.2. Preparing, reviewing, and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.3. Coordinating the preparation of the corporate annual report and the annual budget.4. Developing and managing financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.5. Communicating financial metrics to senior management and providing advice on short and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.7. Advising management on the liquidity or cash flow effects of company activities.8. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.9. Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the Construction industry.3. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.4. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.7. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.9. A high level of professional integrity, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work independently.
