About the role

The Hospitality Sales Manager (HSM) is the frontline site manager for all guest interaction programming and financial deliverables in the following areas:

Create and ensure a safe environment for our employees and guests. Curate, lead and deliver exceptional guest service. Deliver key sales metrics (club conversion, net sales revenue, sales/guest, data capture). Develop engaging and relevant guest programming and consumer event program. Manage overheads, cost controls, especially labor and COGS tours and tastings. Training of team and cultivating high-performance culture. Operational and sales budget management. Oversee the maintenance and landscaping of the building and grounds. Stewardship of an historical site, representing the Beringer brand in the community. Other responsibilities include:

Staff performance management and succession planning. Market research and competitive benchmarking. Managing and planning incentive programs. Managing inventory and merchandise. Customer issue resolution and compliance management. Safety - implementing all HSE topics and training and managing all required compliance reporting. The HSM is a critical function on the Direct to Consumer (DTC) team. This person must be a role model of our TWE DNA behaviors and leadership framework (Delivering Together, Being Courageous, Bringing our Whole Self).

About you

BS degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum 3 years in similar retail and or sales leadership role in hospitality industry. Preferred experience as tasting room manager, hotel front desk manager or hotel shift manager. (Wine industry specific background is ideal but not essential). Experience in leading teams, with a proven track record of supervising, leading and coaching sales teams of more than 15 employees. P&L responsibility managing revenue $2m+ or the ability to do so. Strong leadership skills and team player with the ability to coach others. Knowledge of food and wine, the wine industry and competitive offerings, Napa and Bay Area hospitality market. Proven track record leading others and delivering results against defined targets. Working knowledge of winery POS systems, calendar programs, Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service and sales aptitude. Must be able to lift 40 lbs (a case of wine). What's in it for you

Pay Transparency Disclosure : The base pay range offered for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 a year plus yearly bonus target of 15%. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of the St. Helena, CA area. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
