We serve financial advisors and investors through three entities, each headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska: Carson Wealth, Carson Coaching and Carson Partners. Who We Want
The Director of Financial Planning has many responsibilities. The primary role is to manage the operations of the Financial Planning team. Ensure the highest levels of customer service are being maintained & foster a department of teamwork. This person will be key member on the Advanced Solutions Leadership Team. Provide strategy for process improvement, cross functioning coordination & build education for partner & client education. Working directly with the SVP of Advanced Solution on future technology integrations & new initiatives.
What To ExpectManage the day-to-day operation of the planning department including oversight responsibility for compliance.Combine technical expertise with management skill as a hands-on technical supervisor.Prepare and present advisor & client education.Demonstrate and sell wealth plan solutions to existing and potential partners.Recommend planning solutions which are suitable for prospects and clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile and preferences.Balance department growth, referral activities, customer follow up, administrative compliance and personal growth and development according to both a day-to-day and longer-term plan.Planning and managing resources (time, people, budget) to run a productive department.Seek the expertise of team members, where appropriate, to identify planning strategies for a client.Establish and maintain relationship with the management team and inform management of any circumstances that require supervisory attention/review/approval as per compliance guidelines and policies.Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals and continuing education requirements.Complete semi-annual performance reviews of team members.Market the department's services internally and externally.What You Need

Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field of study10+ years of financial planning experienceCFP requiredAdditional credentials preferred (MS, JD, CPA, etc.)
