Based in Ann Arbor, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant and robust pharmacy enterprise with 900 team members and $1B in annual drug spend at University of Michigan Health. Comprised of seven acute care, five community, seven infusion, and one specialty Pharmacy, with locations across the state, the enterprise has one of the largest 340B programs in the country. The Opportunity

Pharmacy services are fully centralized under the Chief Pharmacy Officer position, extending this leader's impact across both the academic and regional health system assets and setting up a foundation for high-quality, world-class pharmacy care for every patient and community served across the state and beyond. The Chief Pharmacy Officer will have executive oversight for clinical, financial, and operational aspects of University of Michigan Health's acute, ambulatory, specialty, infusion, 340B program, retail pharmacy operations, purchasing, contracting, and medication use policy services.

The Chief Pharmacy Officer will also serve as a faculty member and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs in the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, will be responsible for students and residents who have educational experiences within the health system, and will work closely with the Dean, Department Chair, and health system administrators to balance and integrate the missions of UMH and the College of Pharmacy.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be an innovative and collaborative leader with a demonstrated track record of developing and implementing a strategic vision for pharmacy services. They will have progressively responsible senior health-system pharmacy leadership in an academic medical center or complex health system

involvement in and passion for the training of pharmacy students and residents

extensive knowledge of medication safety procedures and current trends in contemporary pharmacy service provisions

and a demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical supply chain and clinical therapeutics. Must be able to obtain Pharmacist license in the State of Michigan.
