Full-time, Afternoon Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients and other Health Center departments, working under strict time constraints. Responds to routine and emergency requests in a prompt and efficient manner requiring a moderate amount of independent judgment, an advanced level of technical knowledge and a high degree of accuracy. Good communication skills are necessary. IV Compounding skills are mandatory. The consequences of a compounding or drug selection error, if undetected, could result in serious patient injury.

Requires high school diploma.

Minimum of six months of hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.

Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required.
