Job Title: Outreach CoordinatorHIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLYPosition Summary :The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for fostering strong community relationships and coordinating events to support homeless individuals across New Jersey. This individual will be the liaison between our organization, homeless shelters, potential volunteers, and community members.Responsibilities:Establish and maintain relationships with various homeless shelters in New JerseyCommunicate with shelter staff to understand their specific needs and identify opportunities for collaborationDevelop and execute a comprehensive outreach strategy to raise awareness of our community outreach group and its programsRecruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated volunteersOrganize and facilitate hygiene assistance, supply drives, haircuts, and other services at homeless sheltersPromote community events and programs through social media, email campaigns, and other outreach effortsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event coordination and deliveryQualifications:Strong understanding of the homeless population and the unique challenges they faceExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to build partnerships and develop collaborative relationshipsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesExperience in event planning, volunteer coordination, and community outreachProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email marketing platforms, and social mediaInterest in business, social work, non-profit management, or a related fieldKnowledge of local community resources and services is preferredReliable transportation for travel to various shelters and events
