A Day in the Life:
The Manager Airport Properties and Concessions NA role is in place to develop the skills and contacts to serve as Hertz’s liaison with airport stakeholders and be responsible for all airport issues – includes concession bids, airport facility leases, negotiations on consolidated rental car facilities (“CONRACs”) and other facilities and improvements funded by customer facility charges (“CFCs”), audit negotiations, major airport matters (e.g. facility relocation and expansion negotiations, industry space reallocation, etc.). In addition, the Manager Airport Properties and Concessions NA will project manage some of the Properties and Concessions team initiatives including the organization of Hertz’s Airport Strategy project.
Starting salary is $95K; commensurate with experience.
What you'll Do:
The Manager Airport Properties and Concessions assists the Properties & Concessions by providing support to the following functions:
Internal evaluation of concession agreement bids, negotiation and preparation thereof, to ensure Hertz’s objectives are met.
Negotiation and administration of contracts, leases, subleases, use and concession agreements with airports.
Hertz’s participation in CONRACs including, facility planning, financial negotiation and operation.
Contract compliance and audit review, including direct interaction and negotiation with airports.
Oversight and management of shuttle bus systems and facility management at airports by committees comprised of rental car company representatives.
Preparation and recommendation of bids, on-airport real estate transactions, settlement of audits and airport issues.
Preparation and administration of RFPs and other attainment instruments for the procurement of third-party facility managers and bus shuttle service providers. Analyze bids and proposals and negotiates and enforce contracts and agreements.
Management and development of an integrated approach associated with Airport strategy efforts through collaboration with other critical departments.
Refinement and administration of process intended to track airport market share trends
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Political Science, Communications or related field
Proven track record and experience in negotiating business deals; real estate portfolio management; external affairs / public relations; airport concessions and/or airport negotiating environment; knowledge of competitive bid processes. Must have proven track record of building and maintaining critical relationships at multiple levels of organizations including the highest levels. Aviation or transportation industry experience preferred.
Financial and business acumen
Understanding of airport concession environment
Understanding of airport structure and personal contacts within airport staff
Excellent grasp of competitive positions held by other industry representatives
Strategic thinker
Capable of working with multiple internal levels and organizations (e.g., stakeholders and competitors)
Use of analytical skills in developing Company positions
Persuasion while maintaining diplomacy and maintaining ongoing relationships
Negotiation to further company objectives
Manage multiple issues simultaneously, shift priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, while exercising sound judgment to make decisions
Identification of issues, collection of necessary data, and drawing valid, supported conclusions. Analysis, development of strategies and negotiation of complex contracts
Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written.
