Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient and Medication Assistance Therapy

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene / Cheshire Medical Center is currently seeking a Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our collegial and community-centered Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in our Doorway Department.

In this role, you will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Cheshire Medical Center's Doorway Department, which launched its Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) program in September 2020. You will work in coordination with the Doorway team and provide MAT psychiatric services to patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health issues. Collaborating with an RN, and a clinical team, you will coordinate client care and assist with insurance pre-authorization, referrals, and caseload management.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education:

Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursingGraduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental healthMinimum Required Experience:

At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disordersAbility to work with both adult and adolescent populations.MAT WaiverPreferred Experience:

3+ years of experience as a psychiatric providerExperience in telemedicineDemonstrated experience with compromised populationsRequired Licensure/Certifications

Must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APRN)An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of New HampshireMust have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in New HampshireRegistration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PDMP) in New HampshireNo suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid)Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of Dartmouth Hitchcock credentialing team.
