Cytotechnologist Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cytotechnologist to join our client's laboratory team in the Chicago, IL area. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in cytology, excellent attention to detail, and a dedication to providing accurate and timely results. Cytotechnologist Key Responsibilities:Perform microscopic examination of cellular samples, fluid specimens, and fine needle aspirations to detect abnormalities or signs of disease.Analyze and interpret cellular morphology, identifying abnormal cells or indicators of cancerous or precancerous conditions.Maintain accurate records of findings, documenting results in laboratory information systems and preparing detailed reports for pathologists.Adhere to established protocols and quality control standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to review challenging cases and provide additional insights or recommendations.Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advances in cytology techniques and technology.Cytotechnologist Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field from an accredited institution.Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification.Minimum of one year of experience working as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical laboratory setting.Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including microscopes and imaging systems.Strong analytical skills and the ability to accurately interpret complex cellular samples.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and healthcare providers.Detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and accuracy.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Cytotechnologist Benefits:
