Description
POSITION : X-ray Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES : Performs X-Rays on El Proyecto del Barrio, Inc., patients. Verifies/validates that the X-Ray machine is operating appropriately; labels and prepares X-Rays for the Radiologist to read; files X-Rays after the Radiologist reads the X-Rays. Maintains clean work area, order supplies as needed, completes assigned duties efficiently and in a timely manner. Will manage high priority tasks, schedules, outpatient orders, and maintain x-ray and medical records. Will perform other duties as assigned per supervisor.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS : Ability to perform skillfully and effectively the duties of X-Ray Technician. Work effectively with individuals and follow oral and written directions. Mature judgment, tact, discretion and confidentiality are mandatory. Requires a professional, pleasant and effective representation of the corporation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California driver's license. Must submit to and pass a drug test and a criminal background check as a pre-condition for employment. Must be able to provide proof of vaccinations for COVID-19 with Booster, MMR, TDAP, and Hepatitis B. Must be able to provide recent TB/Chest x-ray test. BLS/CPR certification required.
QUALIFICATIONS : High School diploma, or equivalent; possess a valid California limited X-ray Technician License with one (1) year experience. Medical Assistant certificate preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not mandatory.
