Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist, Employed New York StateHealth System is seeking a board certified/board eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join its Adult Outpatient team of behavioral healthcare providers. Psychiatrist review patients medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as needed. Evaluates patients emotional, behavioral and mental state through discussion, observation and analysis. Identifies mental disorders and determines best treatments. Develop therapy plans. Prescribe medications. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to determine if hospitalization is required. Advise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns.
