Overview: Care.com is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Finance to lead the financial management of our Consumer business, Care Core. This position will report directly to the VP of Finance and oversee a team of 4-5 direct reports, with an organization size of 6-8 professionals. The Senior Director will be responsible for all areas of revenue and financial performance within the Consumer business, serving as a key finance partner to the General Manager of Consumer.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate finance, combined with a background in investment banking, private equity, or consulting. This role requires a strategic thinker who is equally comfortable with tactical execution. You will be a critical player in driving financial insights and decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership:
Oversee all financial aspects of the Care Core Consumer business, focusing on revenue performance, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 direct reports, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support in a collaborative environment.Stakeholder Management:
Serve as a primary finance partner to the GM of Consumer, and work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Operations to drive revenue growth and profitability.Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Provide detailed and insightful financial analysis to drive key business decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.Revenue Management:
Oversee pricing, product profitability, and revenue forecasting for the Consumer business. Identify areas for optimization and growth, working closely with the leadership team.Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and provide accurate forecasts, monitoring performance against financial targets.Business Performance & KPIs:
Develop and monitor key financial and operational metrics to ensure performance goals are met.Risk Management:
Identify risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to mitigate potential financial and operational impacts.Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate finance, with a strong foundation in investment banking, private equity, or consulting.Demonstrated success in overseeing financial operations for a consumer-driven business or similar function.Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.Exceptional financial analysis, modeling, and reporting skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate in a hybrid work environment.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Work Environment: This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our New York City or Dallas, Texas locations. The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Salary Range : $190,000 - $225,000 The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of IAC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
