PRACTICE OVERVIEW

Jefferson Radiology, established in 1963, is a 90+ physician sub-specialty group practice with 400+ non-physician staff members based in Connecticut covering multiple imaging centers, community hospitals and tertiary-academic centers. We are actively recruiting a Nuclear Medicine radiologist with leadership aspirations to join our growing organization.

Jefferson Radiology has experienced tremendous growth in the nuclear medicine and molecular imaging domain and is looking for an onsite candidate to join the team. We provide onsite coverage for Hartford Hospital, one of the largest teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers in New England. The hospital is an 867-bed regional referral center that provides high-quality care in all clinical disciplines. Major centers of clinical excellence include cardiology, oncology, emergency services and trauma, mental health, women's health, orthopedics, bloodless surgery and advanced organ transplantation.

We also cover all Nuclear Medicine and Pediatric Oncology from Connecticut Children's Medical Center, a 185-bed nationally ranked pediatric acute care hospital. Our pediatric radiology services include cutting-edge pediatric oncology and thyroid imaging and therapy.

Position Summary

General adult nuclear medicineIncluding perfusion SPECT/CT, hepatobiliary scintigraphy, single and multiphase bone scans, infection imaging, parathyroid imaging, thyroid scintigraphy, brain imaging including CSF shunt studies, epilepsy studies including ictal and interictal imaging, gastric emptying, etc.Pediatric nuclear medicineHyperinsulinemia, FDG-PET/CT, MIBG SPECT/CT, Meckel's scan, renal studies, gastric emptyingNuclear cardiology, we only cover community stress tests and amyloid studiesPositron emission tomography/CT (PET/CT), including all new radiotracers: state of the art prostate imaging including PSMA-PET/CT,Fluciclovine PET/CT, Pilarify, FES-PET/CT for breast, 64Cu-Dotatate, Ga-Dotatate.Radionuclide Therapy, including thyroid I131, Lutathera and likely Lu177PSMA once approved.Interpretation of both inpatient and outpatient nuclear medicine examinations including high volume PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and planar imagingParticipation in tumor boards, both pediatric and adultPerforming radioiodine therapies and PRRTInterest in leadership, program development, and building close partnerships and collaboration with medical and surgical specialistsOpportunity to be involved in research with studies coming through our affiliated cancer center, where numerous clinical trials are ongoing.Preference for candidates comfortable with general radiology interpretation.This position does not include any breast imaging, vascular related interventional procedures, or subspecialty MRI however may include BodyResponsible for interpreting nuclear medicine examinations and providing technical expertise on a great variety of nuclear medicine studies including a high volume of PET/CT (predominately oncologic), inpatient and outpatient nuclear medicine studies such as DAT scans, parathyroid and cardiac imaging, as well as other routine nuclear medicine imaging proceduresMoonlighting OpportunitiesWe offer flexible scheduling and remote reading opportunities.Teaching opportunities available with Radiology residents from Hartford Hospital, the University of Connecticut, and St. Vincent's Hospital1-year partnership trackFull benefits package with generous paid time off (PTO)Sign-on Bonus / Retention Bonus AvailableMoonlighting OpportunitiesLeadership Opportunity AvailableDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
