POSITION SUMMARY:

Clinicians will provide comprehensive mental health services and develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans. Services include, but are not limited to, assessment, psychotherapy, case management, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention. Clinicians may also be responsible for facilitating therapeutic groups or family sessions and may be asked to participate in an on-call rotation. Clinicians will also assist in coordinating and collaborating with outside agencies such as Probation Departments, Schools, Juvenile Dependency Court, and County Behavioral Health Services. This position is eligible for bonuses and merit increases throughout your accumulation of clinical hours, attainment of licensure, and experience in the position post-licensure.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The San Bernardino Wrap program is a community-based, family-centered, needs-driven program designed to maintain children with emotional disturbances in the community at the lowest level of care possible. The goal of the program is to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement and recidivism by brining individuals, agencies and the community together as the decision-making team with the central focus being to meet the needs of the child and family. Services assist in supporting the mental health needs of children and their families, allowing safe and appropriate care, and promoting coordination and collaboration in care planning efforts with the Children and Family Team (CFT) and other child-serving agencies.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize a trauma-informed approach when working with children and their families.Provide individual and/or family therapy, formulate diagnoses and complete clinical assessments and treatment plans.Acquire and apply up-to date knowledge of evidenced based interventions and methodologies.Administer measures such as the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 and utilize results to inform treatment.Utilize Whole Person Care model when treatment planning to maximize client empowerment.Comply with all HIPAA and SCCS confidentiality standards.Adhere to all relevant standards and regulations for productivity, timeliness, and documentation.Communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies to ensure clients' treatment goals are met and in compliance with court-orders.Attend all required meetings, such as Children and Family Team meetings.Effectively collaborate with the program's multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and cohesive care.Skillfully manage crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques as appropriate.Clinicians will have the opportunity to provide psychotherapy to commercially insured clients for an additional stipend through South Coast's Hope Healing Connection Program.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook and able to navigate electronic health records systems.Understanding of the child welfare system and child development principles.Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic approaches for high-risk youth.Ability to work in a fast paced environment, remain organized and manage multiple tasks at once.Ability to work effectively as a multidisciplinary team.Salary Range:

Clinician Tier I:

Masters Degree with less then 1500 hours

$66,560-$71,920

Clinician Tier II:

Masters Degree with 1500 Hours completed

$71,920-$77,280

Clinician Tier III:

1 Year Post License

$77,280-$82,640

Clinician Tier IV :

2 Years post License

$82,640-$88,000

Requirements

Education/ExperienceMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.1+ years' experience in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, group and family therapy skills.Licensure, Registration, Certification

PsyD/PhD/LCSW/LMFT preferred. If not licensed, active registration with the California BBS or Board of Psychology as Registered Psychologist.Valid CA driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.Completion of CPR/First Aid within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and frequently long distances (one hour or more) to ensure safe transport to client settings and to safely transport clients to appointments as needed.Senses of vision, hearing and smell sufficient to regularly operate a motor vehicle, to visualize threats in the environment or risks to clients, and to operate safely in the field.Required to occasionally lift and carry 10-20 pounds.Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights) and walk while in route to and during family visits.Regularly required to sit and use computer in office settings.

Salary Description

$66,560 - $88,000.00/Yearly
