As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will enjoy a regular schedule, working

Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM .

Your average day as a Purchasing Supervisor will involve developing and maintaining a master list of preferred vendors, suppliers, equipment, and systems. You will also be responsible for establishing and managing a rebate program with key vendors and suppliers, as well as negotiating the best pricing and terms from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to meet our financial targets.

OUR IDEAL PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reportsKeep informed of economic, industrial and other trends that affect markets, prices, and delivery conditionsReview and monitor requisitions, supply sources, supplies, quotations, terms, etc.Recommend major purchases of materials on the basis of anticipated changes in prices or on unusual availability situationsReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyParticipate in contract negotiations and vendor selectionMonitor performance and capabilities of vendors to ensure maintenance of delivery, quality, and price commitmentsHire, train new staff members, and supervise and evaluate job performance of purchasing department personnelNegotiate favorable pricing and terms from suppliers, vendors, and sub-contractorsDevelop and maintain a master list of preferred vendors, suppliers, equipment, and systems to support WSLM operationsDevelop and maintain a rebate program with key vendors and suppliersEnsure adoption and effective use of WSLM purchasing and rebate systemsAssist in budget preparation and monitor spending to ensure adherence to financial targets and cost-saving opportunitiesProvide ongoing budget recommendationsEnsure purchased goods and services meet quality standards and specificationsEnsure procurement practices comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsComply with reporting requirements for various quality metricsAssist in new development oversight and recommendationsOversight of hotel brand requirements (i.e. Marriott, Hilton, IHG)Other duties as assignedInternal auditing experience or training is a plus!
