This role is considered Virtual.OverviewReporting to the Senior Director, U.S. Channel Distribution, Alnylam seeks an experienced and focused individual to advance our partnerships with distribution and trading partners. The primary objective of this role is to ensure Alnylam patients benefit from rapid access to our products. The Director, Channel Accounts is a key stakeholder in the successful commercialization of Alnylam's portfolio of medicines. This individual executes Alnylam's strategic imperatives, manages business relationships with key stakeholders at trading partner accounts, and ensures that the patient experience is maximized with Alnylam's trading partners.In this high-impact role, collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential. The Director, Channel Accounts will work closely with Product Supply, Finance, Patient Services, Field Reimbursement, and other critical functions. This role will not only help to drive commercial success but will also support Alnylam's mission of transforming the lives of patients through innovative drug discoveries. The successful candidate must be passionate about science and deeply motivated by the quest of delivering value to patients and their families with the long-term success of the company in mind.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute distribution operations objectives, ensuring Alnylam's products reach HCPs and patients in a timely, efficient, and appropriate mannerEstablish and manage strong relationships and contractual agreements with trading partnersResponsible for providing input into the strategic and tactical planning for all channel activities, utilizing trading partner and market expertiseSuccessfully launch Alnylam products and meet corporate stocking and financial objectivesCollaborate with US Patient Services to ensure seamless integration of Specialty Pharmacy and Specialty Distribution partners into hub servicesMaximize the patient experience with Alnylam's trading partnersIdentify opportunities to develop appropriate partnerships with trading partnersCoordinate with Payer Marketing team to oversee development of channel account deliverablesLead quarterly business reviews and other customer facing meetings to ensure that patients are receiving excellent service levels and fully benefit from Alnylam initiativesIn collaboration with internal stakeholders, understand and carry out distribution policies and procedures, including but not limited to orders, returns and inventoryCollaborate with Alnylam Legal and Contracting to negotiate agreementsWork with Sr. Director to scale and refine the distribution strategy, as appropriate, with any future approved indication(s) and/or sites of care.Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and industry codes in collaboration with Alnylam Legal, Regulatory and ComplianceQualificationsPharmaceutical/biotech experience required6+ years of direct involvement in distribution operations and managing trading partnersUndergraduate degree required. Masters in Business Administration or Healthcare field preferredClear understanding of buy-and-bill dynamicsProduct launch experience requiredStrategic thinking: understand account priorities and impact to key stakeholdersProven ability to effectively and skillfully negotiate, communicate and have challenging conversations with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to travel up to 30%ExpectationsClear Alignment with Alnylam Core Values:
