Pexip is seeking a talented and passionate Finance and Tax Controller located in the Americas to join our Global Finance Team. If you are a detail-oriented, adaptable, and enthusiastic finance professional who enjoys rolling your sleeves up and getting things done, then this is the job for you!
The Finance and Tax Controller will be part of a Global finance team of 9 employees and will report to the Finance director in Norway but will work extensively with the Americas Team. The preferred location for the role is our office in Herndon, Virginia.
Role and Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities of the Finance and Tax Controller position include:
Be the primary contact person for Pexip Inc on all financial matters, working with the business leaders and the global Finance teamWork with Sales and Business Operations supporting the collection of Accounts Receivable by sending reminders and statements to customers and providing the data needed to resolve collections questions.Lead critical processes for our Americas entity, Pexip, Inc., around accounting, payroll and commissions, budgeting and variance analysis.Lead the relationship with our US Tax Advisors to ensure Pexip's compliance with US Federal, State, and Local tax regulationsFirst point of contact and Support for our third-party accounting firm with guidance on accounting, cash application, invoice posting, and month end closing.Review legal contracts to evaluate business and legal impacts of contract termsAssist in the process of exercise of options and RSUs and reporting of taxable benefits.Create, improve, and enforce Accounting controls in the AmericaInsurance renewals and follow up on insurance casesPrimary bank contact and responsible for following up questions from the bankIdentify and capture improvement opportunities to our business, within finance or elsewhereManage the onboarding of new suppliers in accordance with Pexip's global standards and the processing of Account PayableCollaborate with the Americas Leadership Team by structuring and executing analysis to support decision makingContribute to Pexip's continued growth as a member of both the Americas Team and the Global Finance TeamCollaborate with Director of HR as neededRequired Qualifications:
Finance / Accounting degree4+ years relevant experience in Finance/AccountingHave a strong understanding of US Federal and State tax regulations and how they apply to growing technology companiesHave a hands- on approach and being willing to get things done.Have a relentless focus on getting the details rightBe energized by the dynamic atmosphere of a rapidly growing technology companyBe able to rely on experience and sound judgement to see challenges or opportunities for improvement, structure efficient solutions, and then implement those solutionsBe comfortable balancing a variety of tasks while working independently as a part of a global teamExhibit strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to solve problemsPossess extensive knowledge of common accounting software systems and Microsoft ExcelDisplay strong verbal and written communication skillsDesired Qualifications:
Have Finance/Accounting experience within a high-growth technology companyHave experience working within the video collaboration market, SAAS technology company or familiarity with the market dynamics and competitorsBe energized by the prospect of driving results initially as an individual contributor, and open to the prospect of growing into a player-coach and people leader that will help shape Pexip's continued growth
