WI - Cytotechnologist - Clinical Labs - Days

Job Title: Cytotechnologist Job Specialty: Medical Laboratory Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 40 hrs/week, Day shifts: Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (No weekends, no on-call) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week Experience: Minimum of 3 years in cytotechnology License: N/A Certifications: ASCP Cytotechnologist certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, biological sciences, or a related field.- Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program.- Experience with microscopic screening of gynecologic ThinPrep slides, manual QC rescreens on gynecologic specimens, non-gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA) slide preparations.- Familiarity with Epic Beaker preferred.- Two completed references from recent work environment/assignments. Job Description: - Perform microscopic screening of gynecologic ThinPrep slides with the Hologic Imager.- Conduct manual QC rescreens on gynecologic specimens.- Screen non-gynecologic and Fine Needle Aspirate slide preparations.- Document interpretation results using Epic Beaker.- Assess stain and quality of prepared slides.- Embrace flexibility by undertaking additional duties to support the department's needs.- Float to different units as needed based on staffing requirements.
