SAIC is seeking an experienced individual to join SAIC’s team, in support of the U.S. Southern Command’s Cyber IT Enterprise Services (SCITES), to help provide our Nation for contingency planning, operations, and security operations to Central America, South America, the Caribbean areas.
The candidate selected for this position shall:
Responsible for multiple teams engaged in the technical design and engineering functions.
Be able to direct the technical organization to ensure progress according to technical objectives within budgetary and schedule guidelines.
Oversees the design of both new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects.
Be able to analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach.
Organize the means to achieve solutions to highly complex technical problems.
Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Directly supervise individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support) and/or entry level professionals (accountants, entry-level engineers).
Manage experienced professionals (e.g. engineers, scientists, financial analysts) who exercise discretion and independent judgment performing assignments.
Team with business leaders and technical teams to plan, integrate, document, and execute complex project plans on time and on budget.
Champion the integration of industry best practices and innovation to improve operational performance, availability, capacity and cost efficiency.
Identifies trends, determines system improvements, and implements changes to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required:
Currently possess a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS.
DoD 8570 certification (minimum Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II).
Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and eight years (8) or more experience.
Six years of experience with major enterprise engineering efforts in a C4 enterprise environment, identifying automation challenges, and developing technical solutions.
Six years of experience with leading engineering teams in system design, development, installation, upgrades, and implementation of mission-critical hardware and software systems.
Six years of experience with a virtual desktop enterprise environment.
Six years of experience with cloud technologies.
Desired:
Possess a current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
Possess a valid VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) v6.5 certification.
Possess a valid Cisco Certified Design Expert certification and six years of experience managing complex programs.
